Robert Scoble shared his desktop screens to give us a glimpse of how he consumes much of the information out there. It’s kind of scary:
Do you think you could follow that? A lot of people see that and are intimidated. I believe this is going to be obstacle that the “real-time web” is going to have to surpass. I’m glad that tools like FriendFeed are enabling us to search this massive amount of information for the stuff we care about. Read my post on how to use FriendFeed filters (now called “Saved Searches”) for more information.
Let’s just hope the “real-time” web is not faster than “realistic” time. At some point, it becomes overwhelming and a waste of time if not implemented properly. It’s going to be interesting to watch this whole thing grow. What do you think? Is this real-time web feasible?
Seems an efficient way to view/ track info and trends–I guess that Robert’s gig. If that’s what you have a passion for–looks like he’s found a great way to do it.
The only way I know he did it is to create a list with certain users and hide everything except Twitter posts. Which would be a pain for that many users. Or he could be testing something new for FF..

I was inspired by it and now I want to create my own version of Roberts “real time” web setup.

This looks like a news video from The Onion: “USELESS GIBBERISH NOW DELIVERED IN UNREADABLE FORMAT”.

I noticed he mentioned he had a real-time twitter column. I want to know how Scoble set that stream up.
