Our Votes Were Cast

Today, my wife and I went to our local poll around 9:30AM and was pleasantly surprised to find no line or no wait. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes and we cast our vote.

Without going into a long winded blog post as to why I voted the way I did, I’ll just say this: I don’t support either candidate, therefore, I voted for neither candidate. It’s that simple. I don’t vote “against” candidates nor do I vote for the “lesser of two evils”. It’s my voice to vote for candidates that I truly believe in and can say without conviction, “I support this person”. This year, I can safely say, neither candidate fits that bill. I wouldn’t be surprised if a majority of my readers disagree with my decision, but frankly, I could care less. :)

Voting is about expressing your voice, and I feel I have expressed mine. So get out and express yours! Some companies are rewarding voters with treats if you present your “I voted” sticker:

P.S. If you are a Floridian, there are several important constitutional amendments on the ballot that you should definitely check out and vote for/against.
