Beryl Screencast
February 25, 2007
I made a quick screencast showing off the power of the Beryl window manager on a low end IBM Thinkpad T41 with only 32MB of video RAM. Beryl was a project I took on a few weeks ago and I haven’t regretted. I ran into some frustrating issues due to ATI’s (lack of) support of linux video drivers. After following quite a few tutorials and forum threads, I was able to get it working. As you’ll see in the video, it’s nothing short of amazing!
This was on Ubuntu 6.1 using today’s SVN version of Beryl.
