Beryl on Ubuntu 6.1

This weekend, I installed Ubuntu Linux 6.1 on my PC laptop (wiping Vista RC2) and decided to test out some of the cool XGL-like stuff that linux has to offer. I decided to try Beryl which is a 3d accelerated desktop for linux that’s very polished. After a long day of fighting with ATI direct rendering support on my laptop, I was able to get it working and it’s surprisingly fast on a laptop with 32MB of video ram.
