A running FreeBSD system in less than 10 minutes is not common. I guess your 15 years of experience has paid off. I doubt this would be the case for the majority of power users out there, but thanks for your insight. Clearly, Apple is not for everyone.

Sorry about your bad experiences in the Netherlands. It’s quite the opposite where I’m at.

I agree with you; I had a iMac G5 for just a year, but went back to FreeBSD.
The whole attitude of Apple towards his customers is very very bad. The sales staff in the shops (with a few exeptions) are very arrogant; at least here in the Netherlands.
They think, Apple is Gods gift to mankind but sorry its not; Okee, the way they build their machines is good, no doubt about that, but their attitude towards customers sucks, as is M$.
I stick to FreeBSD, it always works and has workt for the last 15 years (at least for me)
I got a running system in 4 min flat and 3 min later I got my apache-server running (I work with 15000 rpm scsi hdd at home)
So to Apple? “shove it”!!!

Google returns 227.000.000 hits ‘apple good’ and 97.300.000 on ‘apple bad’.
