15 Apr 2006I’ve entered into the wonderful (and expensive) world of digital photography. I’ve purchased my first DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera and I couldn’t be happier with it. I got a Canon Digital Rebel XT along with a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens and Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Ultra Wide Angle Zoom Lens. I’ve been practicing with this camera shooting various objects around the house (including my wife Kecia who is extremely camera shy). I’m going to bombard flickr with thousands of images and will probably pick up Apple’s Aperture since it’s a Universal binary and the price dropped from $499 to $299 ($150 with EDU discount). Once I get good with this thing, I’ll be able to do some RAW image post processing that’ll knock your socks off.

Welcome to a slippery slope of pain, love and extreme cost!
The 350d is a great camera and works well in most conditions.
Now when we gonna see images?

Bwana,
You must be on my wavelength. I have been looking at the camera for about two months now. Trying to decide should I or shouldn’t I. Still trying to make up my mind. Let me know what you think of it. Also, did you look at the Olympus Evolt E-500?
