i just ran a quick xbench on the macbook pro, here are the results. score: 63.56

update: per user comment, i disabled quartz beam sync and reran the test. results are here. new score: 80.16 It should be noted that XBench is not optimized for the intel platform and these numbers should be looked at as such.

Please run again the xbench, but turn off the beam sync with Quartz developer tools. Your user interface test should be 250-270 score. Xbench has some bug on the intel OS X…

Turned off beam sync. The UI interface improved a little, but not 250-270. Posted updated results.

The beam sync stuff is interesting. With that one off, my UI Test jumped from a lousy 30 to a whopping 335. My final overall score is 111.14 (iMac Intel Core Duo).

Very interesting. I think I’m just going to wait on XBench to update/optimize for the Intel chip.
