i heard about it. tried it. it works. man does it work! took all of 2 minutes which included me turning off my useless osx firewall.

no, itunes music store songs don’t work, but if you’re like me, that doesn’t matter as 95% of my library is straight cd rips. now i can listen to tunes while downloading demos like the newly released king kong demo. also, my wife can listen to her favorite tracks when she plays bejeweled 3 or hardwood hearts. beautiful.

Is it because Xbox won’t play AAC? Or that it doesn’t recognize the iTunes DRM? I suppose the two go hand-in-hand.
You could always burn your iTunes files to CD, then reimport them, to bypass the DRM.

I figured it was because of the DRM. It plays AAC fine, just not protected AAC. I can live without the few songs I’ve bought on ITMS for now. If I really want to hear those in my living room, I can just use my airport express to stream that audio.
