google desktop released - with new features

it’s soft of odd that that a product can come out of beta with new features, but who’s to question google? google desktop was released to the public with the following new areas to search:

Netscape Mail / Thunderbird
Netscape / Firefox / Mozilla
PDF
Music
Images
Video

i’ve installed it and its been indexing my drive for about 3 hours now. i’ll see how it goes. i’m still a little paranoid about this. google can find anything on my computer rather easily, lets hope security is not a problem with this.
