macmini shipped

my macmini shipped and is expected to be here on friday morning! i’ll be flying home late that night so i’ll post some initial thoughts sometime saturday. i may meet paul at the apple store at the falls for the celebration of ilife ‘05, macmini, etc. knowing me, i’ll be super tired and end up sleeping in as usual.

Did you know that you can get a free Mac Mini online if you just find 11 people to sign up for various trial offers. OfferCentric also offers many other items for free this way. It is not a scam you can look it up on the interet and find lots of sites talking about it. It has also been mentioned in major newspapers. I’m trying it now…so far so good. I’m not sure if that was legitimate or spammers are just getting more clever. Is his referer ID in that URL? Will you be cracking your mini open when you get it to install more ram?

probably won’t be cracking it open since i already got it with 512MB ram. if the performance suffers too much, i’ll get a 1GB stick in the near future. that’s when i’ll crack it open

as for the free[ipod|macmini|*] spammer up there, i’m pretty sure it wasn’t a spambot. people are actually posting those things everywhere.
