macmini’s home
January 22, 2005
kecia’s mac mini is comfy and configured. i gave her a (very nice i might add) apple bluetooth keyboard and a logitech wireless (rf) mouse to go with it. i didn’t much care for apple’s bluetooth mouse (been a logitech fan since the dawn of time). i setup all the must have [...]
macmini has arrived
January 22, 2005
the macmini arrived yesterday morning from fedex. i surprised kecia and gave it to her for her birthday (01/12). i’m pretty good at fooling her about stuff like that all this time she thought it was for me and geek pleasure and all along i was giving her her very first [...]
yes you can upgrade the memory
January 20, 2005
so much fud on the web. people are starting to receive their macminis now and there’s still some resistance from the x86 community as to downsides of this system. one of the main ones i’ve heard is that: “you can’t upgrade the memory yourself, you have to buy apple’s overpriced memory”. [...]
tivo 7.1 rolling out
January 20, 2005
pvrblog is reporting that tivo users are starting to receive the 7.1 software update. why is this important? well it includes the highly anticipated “tivo to go” feature where one can copy recordings to your pc without any special tivo hacks. hopefully, i’ll get this update in the next few days so [...]

google nofollow wp plugin
January 19, 2005
shortly after google announced their method of reducing comment spam, this wordpress plugin, wp-nofollow, was created to add a rel=nofollow to all comment links. i’m sure the comment spammers are working on working around this, but hey, the war continues. i doubt i’ll need it on my site since my authimage plugin [...]
weather man slips up on mlk
January 18, 2005
everytime someone says racism is dead, i cringe. especially when stuff like this happens:
A weekend television weatherman was fired after he made an on-air racial slur about Martin Luther King Jr., station officials said.
Rob Blair of KTNV-TV was delivering the extended forecast Saturday morning when he said: “For tomorrow, 60 degrees, Martin Luther Coon King [...]
meblogging via technorati tags
January 18, 2005
so i’m really caught up in this technorati tag thing and i stumbled across seanbonner’s “experiment” with an idea called “meblogging”. basically it allows you to create your own area in technorati based on your own tag. for instance, i’ve created a ‘braytek’ tag for all my del.icio.us and flickr entries so now i [...]
early flight = all nighter
January 18, 2005
so i got a 5:20am flight tomorrow morning to nashville. i’ve had these early flights before and attempted to get some sleep… well… it wasn’t pretty. i ended up getting like maybe 3 hours sleep and waking up a total mess. so instead, i’m just going to stay up all night and [...]
